Healthy Nutrition to help maintain heart health

HEART HEALTH

Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the U.S.
An unhealthy diet can be one of the contributing factors for heart disease.

Thrive™ Culinary Oil helps improving your diet by swapping saturated fat with monounsaturated fat, a good fat.

Main risk factors for cardiovascular disease

Preventable risk factors

Cardiovascular disease (CVD), such as strokes and coronary heart disease, is a significant threat to human health. It is the leading cause of death among both men and women in the United States.

Preventable risk factors include high blood pressure, smoking, elevated blood lipids, inactive lifestyles, obesity, and poor nutrition.

Nutrition is a key component of these preventable factors. A healthy diet may contribute to reducing the risk of coronary heart disease.

Replace Sat. Fat with Monounsaturated Fat

Reduce Risk of Coronary Heart disease

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), supportive but not conclusive scientific evidence suggests that daily consumption of about 1 1⁄2 tablespoons (20 grams) of oils containing high levels of oleic acid (monounsaturated fatty acid), may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. To achieve this possible benefit, oleic acid-containing oils should replace fats and oils higher in saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories you eat in a day.
